{"id":319,"date":"2013-08-29T11:44:05","date_gmt":"2013-08-28T22:44:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.foursistersfood.com\/?p=319"},"modified":"2013-08-29T11:44:35","modified_gmt":"2013-08-28T22:44:35","slug":"baked-crumbed-pork-chops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.foursistersfood.com\/?p=319","title":{"rendered":"BAKED CRUMBED PORK CHOPS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This dish tastes much better if you use free range pork.<\/p>\n<p>Serves 4<\/p>\n<p>1 large or 2 small pork chops per person, rind on\u00a0(works better if you use smaller, thinner chops)<\/p>\n<p>1\u00bd cups Panko bread crumbs<\/p>\n<p>1\u00bd tablespoons chopped fresh sage leaves<\/p>\n<p>About\u00a03 tablespoons other chopped fresh herbs.\u00a0Thyme and oregano work well in this dish<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper to season crumbs<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons\u00a0milk<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 180\u00b0 fan bake.<\/p>\n<p>Mix together the chopped herbs, crumbs and seasoning in a shallow dish.\u00a0 Put the milk in another shallow dish.<\/p>\n<p>Line a large shallow baking dish with cooking paper.\u00a0 The dish should be large enough to hold all the chops in a single layer.<\/p>\n<p>Dip each chop in milk on both sides, then dip in the crumbs, pressing down to ensure crumbs stick to both sides.<\/p>\n<p>Put the chops in the prepared baking dish, ensuring they don&#8217;t overlap.<\/p>\n<p>Cover the dish tightly with aluminium foil and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the foil and increase the heat to 200\u00b0 and bake uncovered for a further 15 &#8211; 20 minutes or until the chops are well browned.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foursistersfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_0125.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-320\" alt=\"IMG_0125\" src=\"https:\/\/www.foursistersfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_0125-600x400.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.foursistersfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_0125-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.foursistersfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_0125-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This dish tastes much better if you use free range pork.
